Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Opportunity available in Altamonte, FL. AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking dynamic and energetic Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to work in our Level II NICU and newborn nursery. The neonatal nurse practitioner in collaboration with the neonatology will cover the 10-bed level 2 NICU and newborn nursery service at Altamonte.

General Summary:

  • The NNP is responsible for providing care for NICU and Newborn patients within the scope of licensure and within the supervising physician's scope of practice
  • Evaluate patients, perform procedures, develop treatment plans, order and interpret labs, x-rays and other diagnostic studies per specialty guidelines and under the guidance of the Neonatologist
  • Communicate with parents, other specialists and among NICU team
  • Monitoring specialized equipment, including incubators and ventilators

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner opportunity available in the Orlando, Florida area. AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking dynamic and energetic Neonatal APRN to work in our 102 single room NICU at AdventHealth Orlando.

We have several Neonatologists and NNPs/PAs during daytime and have an in-house Neonatologist and two NNPs/PAs at night. This busy NICU provides comprehensive medical and surgical care to sick neonates. We have a variety of sub-specialists support e.g. Pediatric Surgery, Cardiology, Radiology, Neurology, Neuro-surgery etc. Our team is well supported by dedicated respiratory therapists, nutritionists, pharmacists, social workers and case managers. Our campus also has a Pediatric ICU and Pediatric Cardiac ICU.

Our NICU features leading edge technologies, including nitric oxide therapy, hypothermia management, neonatal surgeries etc. We have an active Neonatal transport team with ability to use inhaled Nitric Oxide and therapeutic hypothermia during transport.

We are seeking Neonatal Advanced Practice Registered Nurses to join our Neonatal team.

AdventHealth Neurology in Orlando is in search of a neurology advanced practice provider to provide care to our diverse patient population. The ideal candidate would have some sort of exposure to Neurology whether as an RN or having experience as a provider.

General Summary:

The APRN or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s), who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for:

  • Performing history, physical examinations as needed and monitors neurology patients in the clinic setting.
  • Ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostic tests
  • Seeing patients with the following list of conditions: General neurology, stroke, seizures, neuropathic/nerve pain syncope, Parkinson’s disease (idiopathic) may include fluctuations and/or dyskinesias, Essential tremor. Focal and generalized dystonia (cervical, blepharospasm), Atypical parkinsonian syndromes (MSA, PSP, CBD, DLB), Huntington disease and other choreas, Restless legs syndrome and periodic limb movement disorder Tics and Tourette syndrome, Functional (psychogenic) movement disorders, Mixed pathology with AD.
  • Performing DBS titration
  • Collaborating with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff.

General Summary:

The Pediatric APRN or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician, who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for:

  • Performs admissions, consultations and follow up care of pediatric patients in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU setting, including intubation, ventilator management and other procedures that may be required.
  • Managing medical and post-operative ICU patients.
  • Conditions treated: Congenital Heart Surgery, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Epilepsy, Complex Medical, Liver Transplant.
  • Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc.
  • Educates patient and family on treatment plans, surgical procedures, pre- and post-operative care, etc.
  • Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed.
  • Collaborates with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff.
  • Candidate must be able to successfully pass a third-party background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Enthusiastic team player, team currently consists of 5 PCICU physicians, and 4 other APP’s.
  • Group sees over 200 heart cases annually.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, 12-hour shifts, days, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Day and Night shifts (630 am to 630 pm and night shifts are 630 pm to 630 am)
  • Ability to perform procedures: lines, intubations, etc (highly preferred).

Education and Experience Required:

AdventHealth Medical Group Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery at Orlando Full-Time Opportunity for an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) for the treatment and care of Lymphology patients

GENERAL SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly qualified Advanced Practice Provider (APP) (APRN preferred; PA-C considered) to join our outpatient practice. The APP will serve as the initial diagnostic clinician or “gatekeeper” for patients referred for lymphatic disease. This role requires a high level of clinical acumen to differentiate between multiple causes of edema, including lymphedema, lipedema, venous insufficiency, heart failure, and other causes of edema. The gatekeeper will perform all the initial patient evaluation to determine the cause of the edema. If a lymphatic etiology is identified the gatekeeper will refer the patient to the lymphatic therapist. They will also collaborate with the surgical team and interdisciplinary specialists to ensure appropriate patient selection and optimization for surgical lymphatic intervention if appropriate. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

Qualifications:

  • Training: Formal training in advanced practice nursing or physician assistant studies in family practice, with the ability to treat both adult and pediatric patients (ages 0–99) and supplemental education/training in vascular medicine and/or lymphatic disorders is strongly recommended.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in primary care, internal medicine, vascular medicine or cardiology; must be capable of working independently.
  • Clinical Skills: Proficient in physical assessment, differential diagnosis and interpretation of diagnostic studies related to cardiac, renal, vascular, dermatologic, and gastrointestinal conditions, particularly those related to body edema. Familiarity with the use of doppler ultrasound, echocardiography, lymphoscintigraphy and other techniques used to evaluate edema.
  • Ability to evaluate and diagnose systemic illnesses associated with edema.

Special Interests: Interest in lymphatic care is essential; additional training will be provided. Will also manage patients with Lipedema. This role does not involve managing acute conditions such upper respiratory infections or exacerbations of congestive heart failure (CHF). Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
